Color has always been a driving force in my life. As a child growing up in Centerport, NY, I used to walk the two miles to Greenlawn where there was a stationery and art supplies store in order to look at the big boxes of crayons and wish I could have "all the colors." Later, in Washington Drive Elementary School, Mr. Johnson, my first great art teacher, showed how I could mix primary paint colors to achieve something almost like the fantastic range of colors that shine in every day's light.
I studied color as a painting major at Rhode Island School of Design, and then later as a graphic designer, I was fascinated by the intricacies of print, photographic and computer generated imagery and colors.
Now I dedicate myself to the goal of representing life's limitless expanse of light using paints, pastels and brushes.
